Okay so here goes the frightening first post, and seeing as its Valentines Day I thought i’d get into the spirit and stick to all things red; I do love a red shoe, so it’s the perfect excuse – Enjoy!
I actually recieved these Irregular Choice beauties from my parents at Christmas, and I love them. Infact, I love them so much that im too scared to wear them! The soles follow the trend of all Irregular Choice shoes with a beautiful design, and the inside maintains this high standard of detail that any shoe lover just cant resist! As a student these shoes are pretty pricey, but definitely worth it! A deep, but vibrant red means that they are suitable with many outfits, while the scottie dog and bow design add a little quirkiness. In my opinion, the perfect Valentine’s shoe – (if you have the nerve to wear them and wreck their pretty little soles)
If you can walk in them, great. If you can’t, good luck. Red or Dead haven’t messed about when they came to designing these red ‘bardot’ high heels. The concealed platfrom and 14cm heel adds to the curviness of this shoe, giving them a beautiful silhoutte, while their chunky appearance maintains Red or Dead’s edgy style. Perhaps best left for a Valentines night of sitting, rather than…well, anything else. But maybe that’s just me.
These wee cuties are for those of us who fancy a comfier Valentines option. I am a big lover of the brogue shoe, and I thought these little red flats by Fly London kind of have a brogue-esque feel about them; rounded off with a pretty tie bow at the front. Aw : )
Okay… so these may not be a standard day-to-day shoe (I’m not even sure that I could bring myself to wear them) but there is no denying that they are a work of art. Designed intially this year as a bridal shoe, these heart-heels bring the Valentines day shoe to a whole new level. Tacky? Yes. Over the top? Yes. Secretly a little bit fantastic?…maybe?! It’s like St.Valentine meets Las Vegas…and i kinda love it.
These may not be the most ‘romantic’ of shoes, but I just had to include them in my wee collection because I’ve had my eye on them for sometime now. Such a comfy shoe and the chucky platform on these authentic Vans adds something a little different; perfect for slipping on and off. …hmmm may just have to treat myself.
Finally I came across these on Topshop’s website. I really like the focus on a 70’s chunky heel, adding to the retro feel of the peep toe and sling back style. Somehow they manage to be big and bold, yet elegant and feminine at the same time. The platform along the bottom of the foot will also make these daunting heels a little easier to handle. Just lovely!
